Locations: Edmonton 103rd Street Banking Centre /Sherwood Park Banking Centre.

Note This role will also be responsible for managing Personal Banking Administration duties at the Sherwood Park Banking Centre. The successful candidate’s main location will be at 103rd Street Banking Centre, and will only work out of the Sherwood Park Banking Centre one day per week. Candidate must be able to travel between banking centres.

The opportunity

The primary focus of the Manager, Personal Banking Administration is to maintain established programs and procedures to ensure the branch’s personal administration is functioning effectively and complies with policies and regulatory requirements in all areas of personal banking and operations.

Day to day

Prepare and monitor monthly and quarterly reports including branch non-interest expenses

Assist the retail team to ensure branch activities and processes are followed to promote the retention and growth of existing clients, as well as attract new clients to effectively meet their banking and financial needs and meet branch targets and goals.

Professionally and actively refer clients to Account Managers who will explore potential solutions to solve the problems identified.

Provide a high level of customer service that consistently exceeds expectations and enhances the relationship with the client.

Provide general supervision/support to the retail area, particularly during times of high volume, vacation relief, and extended periods of absenteeism for any reason.

Implement and maintain programs and procedures to ensure the branch’s retail administration is functioning effectively and complies with applicable policies & regulatory requirements in all areas of retail banking and retail operations. Ensure an inspection rating of Satisfactory is maintained with limited major and repeat findings identified.

Provide ongoing coaching, both scheduled and impromptu, with teams to develop skills and confidence which will enhance client relationships and grow the personal banking portfolios.

Support the Manager, Sales & Service at all times to ensure ongoing cooperation and example to all other staff. Replace the Manager, Sales & Service during absence due to holidays or illness, etc.

Skills and competencies that will take you further

Excellent knowledge of all Bank and partner company’s products & services.

Working knowledge of Canadian Banking Regulations.

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from

Diploma/degree in related field

Minimum 5 years banking experience
