Department Overview
The Brokerage Channel is responsible for obtaining mortgage volume from independent mortgage brokerage companies and their respective sales associates. All sales are generated by the Sales Directors team and the Inside Sales team. Approval of broker-submitted applications is the responsibility of TD Mortgage Solutions, contributing to the overall CGBI volume acquisition of this important channel.
Job Requirements
- In addition to a solid experience in the field of mortgage credit and credit evaluation, experience in coaching and sales management is considered an asset
- A positive attitude, a quick, self-motivated starter, and entrepreneurial skills are all assets
- The position requires RESL expertise and knowledge of TD Canada Trust policies
- Strong organizational awareness and the ability to influence internal partners to find quick solutions to support our brokerage partners
- Experience working with third party vendors and external partners
- Excellent communication skills in French and English, both written and oral, as well as experience in presentations to large and small groups
- Willingness to want to work evenings and certain weekends, and to participate in certain industry events
- Knowledge of MS Power Point software for presentations, Excel and Word is required.
- Proven ability to achieve business goals through business planning, coaching and skills development activities
- The incumbent must have strong impact and influence skills and understand how to perform in a dynamic environment.

Job Details
Reporting to the Senior Regional Manager, Brokerage Sales, the Manager, Sales and Support, is responsible for the recruitment, performance management and progression of low and moderate production brokers.
By being the first point of contact for a large segmented brokerage grouping, this position is an integral component of sales management within the TD Brokerage Channel.
- Execute a disciplined approach and follow TD’s sales management process
- Ensure full knowledge of current Broker and market trends including – product/portfolio features, benefits, sales tools/processes, and Real Estate Secured Lending strategies
- Develop strategies to support pipeline volume management and growth with the ISM team
- Contribute to exceeding timeline commitments by replying to requests accurately and on time with the broker community
- Take a proactive and reactive approach with brokerage firms and their brokers, completing sales calls to solicit new opportunities and intervening as an expert in RESL to answer the questions and needs of brokers, with the objective increase mortgage volumes
- Drive RESL volumes and CP sales through strategic initiatives across Product, Data, Analytics, Policy, Risk and Pricing
- Act as Broker Channel & Industry subject matter expert for cross-partner initiatives
- Initiate, review and approve Channel communications
- Represent Broker Channel interests/views in projects
- Influence stakeholders to grow Broker Channel within scope of Share Commitments
- Provide ongoing insights into the Broker Channel for ISMs
- Optimize and lead growth strategy for ISMs in defined territory
- Continually review metrics to manage current performance, forecast future performance, and meet long term objectives. Provide leadership and strategic guidance in the development and ongoing management of Broker prospecting, ensuring alignment to overall business objectives and strategies
- Approve and welcome new branches of mortgage brokerage companies and associates. Contribute to the development of sales strategies and a broker program, explain the broker program, promotional programs and mortgage products through presentations to large and small groups and develop ongoing relationships.
- Organize regular webinars with new and existing brokers on a predetermined schedule, covering a range of content.
- Manage BCA team ensuring deals are escalated accordingly
- Act as a liaison between TD Mortgage Solutions and broker partners.

- Continually review metrics to manage current performance, forecast future performance, and meet long term business objectives. Provide leadership and strategic guidance in the development and ongoing management of broker prospecting, ensuring alignment to overall business objectives and strategies for Broker Services.
- Troubleshoot incoming inquiries as a subject matter expert, for the purpose of achieving agreed upon referral business results.
