Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?Reporting to the Senior Manager, STP Governance and Controls. This position will prepare responses to queries from internal and external parties that demonstrate RBC’s compliance with internal and external policies, laws and regulations, as the case may be. This position will also enable the end-to-end Statutory Transfer Pricing (“STP”) process for RBC through execution on global projects across the Implementation and Policy Management and Compliance teams within the RBC STP group.What will you do?
- Manage the information gathering process for audit queries by working with the business, finance, legal, compliance, and taxation groups to efficiently obtain information requested by internal and external auditors and other parties, as the case may be.
- Ensure audit query responses are prepared in a timely fashion and are complete, referenced to source data and demonstrate RBC’s end-to-end view of STP activities
- Work with the finance and business teams in the various platforms, as well as the STP team, to pro-actively prepare audit ready binders to better manage the transfer pricing audits.
- Coordinate, facilitate and be a key resource in the execution of enterprise wide STP projects across STP policy management, implementation and compliance.
- Develop and maintain the framework and governance structure for the STP team in accordance with the defined operating model.
- Develop legal entity reporting for Transfer Pricing transactions.
- Assist with key process improvement initiatives for STP
What do you need to succeed?Must have:
- 3 years of audit, finance and transfer pricing experience at an accounting firm, financial services organization and/or relevant industry experience
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and manage numerous priorities simultaneously in an organized manner
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with the operational aspects and understanding of the end-to-end transfer pricing process
- Working knowledge of Canadian tax laws and overview knowledge of TP laws where RBC operates.
- Knowledge of RBC financial reporting systems and technology tools such as Oracle and Tableau
- Accounting designation such as CA/CPA/CMA
