This role is critical in ensuring compliance with transfer pricing regulations and supporting the strategic objectives of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, an understanding of operational transfer pricing and compliance procedures, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.Reporting to the Director, Tax Transfer Pricing, the ideal candidate will cross-collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to develop and implement robust transfer pricing policies. In addition, the candidate will support the Senior Director, Domestic Tax Planning & Compliance to ensure timely and accurate compliance with all transfer pricing reporting obligations to the CRA and other relevant tax authorities.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How you’ll succeedImplementation- Support the Director of Tax Transfer Pricing in the development, implementation, and maintenance of transfer pricing policies that align with CIBC’s business objectives and comply with Canadian and international regulations.Documentation and Analysis- Support the Director of Tax Transfer Pricing in preparing transfer pricing documentation, including local files and master files, to meet regulatory requirements. Support the Director of Tax Transfer Pricing in managing transfer pricing audits and inquiries from tax authorities, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Support the Director of Tax Transfer Pricing with the preparation of reports and analyses to present to senior management regarding transfer pricing performance and compliance status.Relationship Management- Serve as one of the key points of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding transfer pricing matters.Change Management- Stay informed about changes in transfer pricing regulations and practices, both domestically and internationally, to ensure ongoing compliance. Support the adoption of transfer pricing policies and practices in response to regulatory changes and industry trends.Who you areYou can demonstrate experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in transfer pricing, tax compliance, or a related field. Working knowledge of key information returns, including forms T106 and T1134. Familiarity with Canadian transfer pricing regulations and OECD guidelines. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field. Professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA, etc.) or certification would be an asset.You act like an owner. Results-oriented, self-motivated, proactive and proven ability to work independently.You understand success is in the details. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and precision.
