HIIB’s core function is to actively manage the global insurance program of Kronospan by obtaining and negotiating the best insurance coverage, policy terms and conditions and optimising premiums for existing and future insurance covers.Note that this position is in Sliema, Malta,.About KronospanKronospan is the global leader in the production and distribution of wood products for the furniture, interior
design and construction industries. Kronospan operates 41 production sites globally, delivering products
in 123 countries with more than 14,000 employees.Main duties and responsibilities– In-house insurance broker for Kronospan’s global insurance needs including Property Damage and Business Interruption program, General Liability and Marine Open Cover;
– Contact person for all Kronospan entities and network of brokers and insurers;
– Leading negotiations, communication and co-ordination with international specialist Insurance Brokers and insurance/re-insurance companies;
– Promoting the Global Insurance Program of Kronospan in international Insurer and Broker forums including delivering presentations of insurable risks and requirements;
– Maintaining and developing relationships across international brokerage and insurance networks;
– Reviewing, optimising and agreeing to bind insurance policies and service contracts;
– Participating in plant risk assessments across the globe to garnish a thorough understanding of the manufacturing and ancillary operations of Kronospan to assist in risk surveys;
– Periodic reporting to the Company’s Board of Directors whilst maintaining close contact with all internal stakeholders;
– General management and organisation of administrative aspects of the CompanyRequirements– A proven track record of handling global insurance programs for large industrial risks
– Fluent in German and English
– Strong business development and negotiation skills, excellent relationship management skills
– Industrial engineering background or legal background will be prioritised
– Highly operational with attention to detail
