Working closely with the Research Director for Custom Solutions in UK&I, your primary responsibility will be to take ownership of end-to-end delivery of customized research projects for our clients. Custom Solutions projects gather B2B feedback (e.g. “Voice of Customer” or “Voice of Supplier”), utilizing our ‘Advantage Model’ for measuring B2B engagement. This typically involves an online survey methodology, as well as qualitative research and the feedback we provide is regarded as extremely important by our clients and directly informs major strategic decisions.Custom Solutions is a small, geographically-dispersed team of experienced researchers with an intrapreneurial mindset so as well as well as excellent research credentials, we are also looking for an individual that is proactive, flexible, has a can-do attitude and is able to work independently.What You Will DoManage the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of Custom Solution research projects, with support and guidance of the Research DirectorAll aspects of research design and setup, including questionnaire design, survey link testing, contact database development and management, liaising both ‘client-side’ and with our Operations team to the agreed scheduleFieldwork management, coordinating survey launch, management and client communicationAnalysis and reporting of projects – the right individual will bring their research expertise to produce high quality insight reports with creative flair, persuasive story-telling and clear, actionable insights and recommendations with deliverables that include PowerPoint reports and an online dashboardEngaging with the client to disseminate feedback, typically done via online meeting e.g. Teams – this is typically to a senior audience and requires an individual who is articulate, professional and confidentAt all times, promote a best practice approach to project delivery and maintain a very high standard of data securityMaintain an up-to-date, accurate view of project progress using our Project Management tool (Monday.com) and (with assistance from the Research Director) manage other project administration tasks e.g. contracts, invoices, PO’s etc.Contribute innovative ideas, business cases, and proof of concepts that can create value for the business, getting involved in non-fee earning corporate tasks and activitiesContribute to business development opportunities; for example, providing ideas and inputs to new business pitches and proposalsEstablish relationships with colleagues in both the Custom Solutions team as well as wider business e.g. European Country Managers (e.g. to showcase Custom Solutions projects)Essential Qualifications5+ years’ agency-side experience in a Market Research / Insights role gained through hands on delivery of quantitative and qualitative research projectsPost-secondary education (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in a relevant subject e.g. research, business, marketing, economics, statisticsProficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPointProficient use of survey platforms, visualization and reporting tools such as Decipher, Dapresy, Tableau, as well as project management tools, such as Monday.comExposure to and knowledge of the Retail, CPG and grocery industriesConsidered an assetProgramming and/or knowledge in: SQL, R, Python, SAS and other data mining programming tools.Experience in Business Intelligence tools such as Power BILanguages other than EnglishAn excellent candidate will exhibit the following:An analytical mind with a high attention to detail and inclination to venture beyond the obvious data to dig out insights and land a story that drives strategic actionPassionate about the CPG and grocery retail landscape, with an understanding of the main trends and challenges that the industry is facingStrong communication & storytelling skills (written and verbal). Comfortable presenting to and delivering recommendations to a broad range of internal and external stakeholdersProactive and curious. Takes initiative to come up with own hypothesis and proposals for further insights exploration, identifying opportunities for commercial case studies and data-driven thought leadershipAbility to work with a great sense of urgency while maintaining high standards and a connection to deliverables.Ability to mobilize and leverage other team members to collaborate on high impact projectsAbility to be proactive and recommend improved approaches over current processes.
