Salary Range: $147,735-$204,488 Final offer depends on multiple factors such as candidates experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data.

CDP has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to grow CDP’s influence and develop its strategy in North America. As CDP’s North America Market Lead, you will have full responsibility for managing the development and continued growth of our impact in North America. Working closely with other market leads and the Chief Transformation and Delivery Officer, you will bring your reputation as an expert and a leader in climate change and environmental data to these newly created roles. You will be responsible for working together with functionally aligned senior colleagues to grow impact and income in the region. As CDP’s market lead for North America you will be an integral part of our global leadership team.
Who you are
- 10+ years of experience of working in government, NGOs and commercial organisations in the area of sustainability/sustainable finance/financial data/environmental is-sues is essential.
- Proven track record of developing strong strategic client/stakeholder relationships with commercial, NGO and government organisations.
- A strong network of contacts you can use to advance the deep and longstanding relationships CDP holds.
- Previous experience of business development, either with a commercial entity or NGO.
- Proven track record of creating and implementing strategies to deliver on business and/or impact targets.
- Background in and knowledge of local business, policy and sustainability culture, with a known reputation in this sector.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience of working in a global organisation.
- Relevant degree qualification or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in one or more local language and conversational in English.
Your day-to-day
- Leading efforts to bring our CDP global strategy to your market. Adapt the go to market strategy to create success at pace. Develop country level delivery plans together with colleagues including milestones, targets and impact objectives.
- Identify, develop and leverage strategic relationships with key partners at senior lev-els across all stakeholders; policymakers, capital markets, corporates, cities and NGOs.
- Lead and develop CDP’s profile within the local sustainability ecosystem; acting as CDP’s representative at external events, delivering speeches and participating in panel discussions and knowledge based roundtables and events.
- Be a media spokesperson with media and communications firms to enhance and ex-pand CDP’s brand and reputation with existing and new audiences in North America.
- Be CDP’s trendspotter in your region, acting at the cutting edge of emerging policies and other pertinent developments to bring knowledge back to the worldwide strategic level.
- Ensure CDP North America plays its role in the CDP global system, providing advice on the regional context and helping to develop elements of our global organisational strategy.
- Participate in local fundraising and development efforts together with the global priori-ties and strategy.
- Works closely with other country and regional offices to develop regional strategies and share best practice.
