What is the role?As a Marketing Executive you will report directly into the Head of Marketing and collaborate with our current Marketing Executive. You will play a crucial role in supporting a wide range of marketing activities, gaining hands-on experience across the marketing spectrum.While previous marketing experience is advantageous, it is not a requirement. If you posses relevant skills from other experiences we encourage you to apply. We are excited to meet candidates who bring enthusiasm and a fresh perspective.Key areas of focus for the role are listed below. However, as part of a small, agile team, you will also be expected to pitch in whenever needed and to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and a strong team spirit.What will you be doing?Content creation & gathering
- Develop content for social media, email, website & PR
- Produce informational pieces and boost PR activities
- Work with PR agency to cover events like volunteering, charity efforts, colleague achievements, new stores, and new product launches
- Partner with external agencies to create photo and video materials
- Ensure high-quality product information and images are available for marketing
- Regulary post updates to keep colleagues informed about marketing activities.
Store Support
- Handle POS requests and coordinate with printers and designers
- Visit stores regularly to gather feedback and ideas for future marketing activities
- Develop and maintain a Web2Print system for efficient signage ordering
- Oversee store TV content, coordinating with stores, IT and content portal provider
- Make sure promotional materials are accessible on relevant channels.
Marketing Campaigns
- Help create and implement marketing campaigns
- Proof artwork and content for marketing collateral
- Design competition entry forms, write T&Cs, draw winners, deliver prizes and coordinate PR
- Write briefs for internal stakeholders and handle queries.
Events
- Assist Business Development Managers and stores with trade day events including marketing collateral and digital content
- Help plan and execute store openings and relaunches
- Attend launch days to manage marketing activities alongside external agencies
- Handle ordering and stock management of branded merchandise and event equipment.
Marketing collateral
- Ensure all marketing collateral is kept up to date
- Uphold brand standards across the business.
Resource sharing
- Manage Dropbox library of marketing resources for external agencies
- Maintain OneDrive library of marketing materials for internal use.
What skills, experience & qualifications will you need to have?Essential skills
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and an analytical mindset
- Strong communication
- Creativity and willingness to bring new ideas
- Proactive and positive attitude.
Desirable but not essential skills
- Experience in retail or branch environments
- Knowledge of web/digital/online marketing
- Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
- Basic design skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum: GCSE in English and Mathematics (or equivalent qualification)
- Degree or Marketing qualification or relevant work experience.
Expected salary
£30000 per year
