Why join this team:Conduct research and data analysis to inform the competitive positioning of our products to our globally diverse membership and prospective members. This includes gathering data, competitor intelligence, and member insights from various sources and other structured research methods. Synthesize, analyze, and interpret findings to develop actionable insights and recommendations to inform our product positioning, new product development, and product marketing strategies.NYC Salary Range – $88,190 – $100,000 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location. What you’ll do:

- Partner with product teams within the Product Solutions vertical to create and prioritize a product research learning agenda which supports delivery of insights that improve product positioning to achieve business plan objectives and informs new product development efforts
- Design and execute primary and secondary research projects to inform product positioning, pricing, and new product or feature development
- Create and execute unified data mining, marketing research, and competitor intelligence research projects that deliver synthesized actionable findings to improve product mix and product marketing strategies
- Apply data mining techniques across data sets available from loan origination systems, core banking platform and various data marts and external sources to identify, analyze, and interpret trends to inform product enhancements and product marketing strategies
- Partner with Corporate Marketing to analyze product marketing campaign channel performance for paid, earned, and owned media to uncover opportunities for improving channel optimization
- Perform quantitative, qualitative, and competitor intelligence research as needed to inform new product development
- Monitor competitive landscape throughout our key markets for new entrants, product offerings, and changes to competitor products, features, and pricing
- Collaborate with Corporate Marketing to analyze members product wants and needs mentioned in surveys
- Assess product line performance by tracking, analyzing, and reporting results of plan goals against actual figures to inform the need for marketing initiatives
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and UNFCU’s Code of Ethics & Business Conduct
What we’re seeking:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Marketing, Business Administration or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in a marketing research role
What makes you stand out:
- Computer proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Intermediate to advanced experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods
- SCIP certification not required, but a plus
- Familiarity with sales and marketing concepts
- Strong ability to translate research and data findings into actionable and clear recommendations
- Knowledge of current and emerging marketing practices and technology
