Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship as a journeyman mason. Leads or mentors lower-level team members.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Job Duties:
1. Performs masonry tasks to include performing repairs, maintenance, and construction work with brick, concrete, building blocks, stone, and tile.
2. Performs masonry work in the construction, alteration, repair and maintenance of building to include columns, walls, stairs and flat work.
3. Repair/replaces floor tile, ceiling tile, wall covering and assists carpenter shop as needed.
4. Cuts and resets or replaces broken pieces of masonry including bricks, stone, glazed tile, quarry tile, marble, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials.
5. Repairs and constructs new building underpinnings.
6. Assists in constructing new masonry partitions, electrical and sanitary manholes, underground electrical conduit lines and other masonry construction of a minor nature.
7. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience:
Five (5) years of masonry experience is required.
