Job description
As a Material Handler at CBN Commercial Solutions, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our production lines are stocked with raw materials, for maintaining our inventory levels and for overseeing the receiving of raw materials and shipping of final product.CBNCS is an award-winning subsidiary of Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited (CBN). - Pull materials and supplies from inventory matching against provided production orders.
- Maintain production supplies at our work centers by delivering and staging materials and supplies.
- Wrap and package orders for shipment ensuring their accuracy against the order documentation.
- Prepare final individually packaged or skidded shipments of product including the creation of shipping manifests, carrier labels and other documentation associated with the outbound project shipment.
- Maintain raw material inventory, reporting on low levels or inventory gaps.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment associated with the movement of product inside the facility and on and off transport trucks and trailers.
- Sharing the responsibility for ensuring quality product is delivered to delight our customers.
QualificationsKnowledge and Experience
- General computer skills;
- Experience working in a manufacturing / warehouse environment.
- Forklift experience / certification
- Experience with WMS and or IMS systems.
Soft Skills:
- Highly process-driven;
- Higher than average eye for detail;
- Proven problem-solving/troubleshooting skills;
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written;
- Desire to be part of a culture of quality and safety;
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Mandatory Requirements:
- The ability to obtain, and maintain, Government of Canada Secret (Level II) clearance;
- The ability to work shifts (days, nights, weekends) and overtime as required.
- The ability to meet physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing and pulling up to 20lbs consistently and/or extended walking & standing.
