We are actively seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Coordinator for CONTRACT positions within the Kitchener-Waterloo area. As a Material Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing process runs smoothly by ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time. You will work closely with the production team to ensure that production targets are met and that inventory levels are optimized.Key Responsibilities:
– Analyze the production schedule to determine material requirements and ensure that materials are available when needed.
– Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, supplier lead times, and production schedules to ensure that materials are ordered in a timely manner.
– Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure that materials are of high quality and delivered on time.
– Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and overstocking, and adjust production schedules accordingly.
– Coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure that materials are ordered at the best possible price.
– Work closely with the production team to ensure that production targets are met and that any production delays are addressed promptly.
– Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements.
– Prepare and present reports to management on material availability, inventory levels, and supplier performance.Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
– At least 3 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain management within the manufacturing industry.
– Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze data and identify trends.
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
– Knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and supply chain management best practices.
