Position: Middle School Math Teacher (6th Grade)Rate: Up to $52 per hourReports to: Building PrincipalWe are seeking a dedicated and innovative Math Teacher to join our partner school’s educational team. The ideal candidate will provide a rigorous curriculum that aligns with Pennsylvania Department of Education standards, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment for all students. This position requires a commitment to academic excellence and a passion for helping students succeed.General Duties and Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development: Provide a rigorous curriculum that aligns with Pennsylvania Department of Education standards.
• Instructional Mastery : Demonstrate mastery of subject matter, instructional skills, and resource materials for the courses taught.
• Lesson Planning : Create lesson plans aligned with current state and district standards that drive instruction through formative assessment and differentiation.
• Classroom Management : Maintain a safe, organized classroom that supports independent learning, collaboration, and student choice.
• Instructional Techniques : Utilize a variety of effective instructional and management techniques to enhance student learning.
• Assessment : Provide a variety of assessments and use them for planning and instruction.
• Positive Environment : Monitor and maintain a positive classroom environment that supports school-wide behavior expectations, ensuring student engagement and mutual respect.
• Technology Integration : Use available technology and instructional media to enhance students’ learning experiences.
• Communication : Establish and maintain appropriate relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members by communicating in a tactful, courteous, and confidential manner.
• Collaboration : Communicate and interact appropriately with other professional staff in academic planning and school committee work.
• Professional Development : Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth by working with administrators to formulate and complete professional development plans.
• Parent Engagement : Engage parents and guardians in the education of their children.

Other Requirements

• Specialized teaching assignments may require additional training and/or certification.
• Must be able to pass initial fingerprint and background clearance checks.
• May be required to lift and carry heavy supplies and materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
• May be required to work outside normal working hours or travel to perform work functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• Appropriate Standard Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate for the subject area or enrollment in a PA certification program.
• Preferred experience in an urban school setting.

• FBI clearances
• Physical including TB Test
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
