- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – this is essential
- Right to work in UK – this is essential
- Enhanced DBS on the update service – this is preferred
- 2 relevant professional references – this is essential
- Experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4 levels
- Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and effective teaching strategies
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, clear, and effective maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students
- Contribute to the design and development of an innovative and comprehensive maths curriculum
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities
- Organise and participate in extracurricular activities, such as Maths clubs, competitions, and workshops, to enrich student’s learning experiences
- Passion for teaching mathematics and a commitment to inclusive education
- Track and evaluate student performance, offering personalised feedback and support to encourage progress
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents to support student learning and development
