Job Description:As a Maths for Adults Wales Tutor with Equal Education Partners, you will support learners as part of the UK Government’s Adult Numeracy Programme called Multiply. This is a government-funded programme to help adults improve their numeracy skills. Adults over 19 who don’t have a maths GCSE at grade C (or equivalent) can access free numeracy courses to build confidence with numbers and gain a qualification. This role provides an ideal opportunity to make a real difference to learners in a 1:1 or a small group setting.Requirements:To be eligible for this role you must:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or experience as a HLTA, Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor;
- Have a minimum of one year of teaching experience (with relevant experience teaching maths GCSE (or equivalent));
- Be flexible to tutor Monday-Friday between 9am-8pm;
- Be able to deliver face-to-face in Newport;
- Have a minimum qualification of an A-Level grade C and above in Maths.
- Have experience teaching or marking for various exam boards/a willingness to learn new exam specifications for the role;
- Having experience of working with Adult Learners would be beneficial.

- Enjoy tutoring;
- Be passionate about enhancing people’s prospects through education;
- Be ambitious on behalf of learners.
