Job Title: Mechanical Estimator (Ductwork Experience)
Location: Uxbridge, UK (Office-based)

• Supply & Extract Ductwork Systems
• Kitchen Extract & Smoke Extract Systems
• Fire-Rated Ductwork Installations (FIRAS Accredited)
• Air Conditioning (DX & VRF Systems)
• Pipework: Heating & chilled water, domestic water, public health systems
• Insulation: Fire-rated, thermal, acoustic, Venture Clad, PIB, and trace heating

Role OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Estimator with a strong background in ductwork, fire-rated ducting, and insulation. Working closely with the Managing Director, the chosen candidate will be the sole estimator for projects up to £3 million and will prepare accurate and comprehensive estimates using Ensign software.Key Responsibilities

• Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for projects valued up to £3 million, specializing in ductwork, fire-rated systems, and insulation.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with the MD to assess project requirements, budget considerations, and feasibility.
• Software Utilization: Use Ensign estimating software to produce project estimates.
• Bid Management: Coordinate tender submissions, ensuring all estimates align with the company’s objectives.
• Supplier & Vendor Liaison: Source competitive pricing from suppliers, maintaining the quality and standards of the project.
• Documentation: Keep precise records of estimates, project costs, and budget adjustments.
• Client Engagement: Support client meetings, providing expert cost insights and recommendations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Mechanical Estimator, with experience in ductwork, fire-rated installations, and insulation.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Ensign software.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with ductwork, kitchen and smoke extract systems, FIRAS standards, and varied insulation materials.
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented in cost estimation and budgeting.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
