My client who is a market leading Building Services company is looking to recruit a Project Manager for works across Dorset, Wiltshire, and Hampshire.
The main bulk of the work will be decommission and removal of redundant gas fired boilers, installation of remote air source heat pumps and associated M&E controls.
The role:
As a Project Manager you will play a vital part in overseeing the various aspects of projects, from the initial surveys and quotations through mobilisation to final delivery. You will actively engage in meetings related to contracts, finance business updates, and project-Specific discussions. The role demands a flexible work approach, with a mix of office and site-based work, and financial responsibility for individual projects.
Role and Responsibilities
Project Mobilisation
- Work on project mobilisation, including the production of safety documentation.
- Develop procurement schedules and plans, incorporating active betterment demonstrations.
- Plan and program work packages efficiently.
- Provide Financial reporting for project mobilisation activities.
Project surveys and quotations
- Collaborate with project team to conduct project surveys.
- Assist in the preparation of quotations for projects.
Project Delivery
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring successful completion within scope, time and budget.
- Manage project teams and resources effectively.
- Address and resolve issues that may arise during project execution.
Work/meeting attendance
- Balance office and site-based work, aiming at approximate 50/50 distributions based on project workload.
- Adapt work location based on the requirements and phase of each project.
- Attend project meetings to discuss overarching project strategies and progress.
- Participate in Financial review meetings to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Attend client & project specific meetings as required to address project specific needs, monitor, and discuss on site progress.
- Collaborate in design team meetings to coordinate design-related aspects of projects.
Additional Responsibilities
- Hold Financial responsibility for individual projects.
- Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
- Ensure adherence to financial control procedures and policies.
About you:
Essentials
- Ability to demonstrate a proven track record in delivering M&E projects (£50k-£1m).
- Completed IOSH membership.
- Proficient in generating and approving CPP, RAMS, and permits.
- Demonstrates strong financial control and the ability to report financial information.
- Demonstrates a high-level command of commercial acumen.
- Client-facing relationship builder with attention to detail and effective communication skills
- Adaptable problem solver, results orientated and able to navigate fast changing project requirements.
Desirable
- Strong understanding of surveying a wide range of prospects such as fabrics and build opportunities.
- Demonstrate knowledge of how to build a tender.
- Capable of articulating the project journey from conceptualization to Þnal completion and handover to the client.
