- Contract Type: Permanent
- Salary range: Band 5 £28,000.00 + (Inner London allowance in additional to advertised salary if applicable)

Your expertise will ensure that our content is engaging, informative, and meets our rigorous quality and safety standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining and administering document control systems and processes, ensuring consistency and compliance throughout.What you’ll be working on?
- Create high-quality training materials using a variety of media, including video, e-learning modules, Artificial Intelligence, and interactive content.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop accurate and engaging training resources.
- Implement and maintain document control systems to ensure materials are up-to-date and comply with Network Rail’s standards.
- Continuously enhance existing training materials to improve effectiveness and user engagement.
- Ensure all content aligns with Network Rail’s quality and safety standards.

Our network of qualified trainers use their hands-on rail experience to deliver industry leading skills, operations and leadership training locally and through our dedicated development centres.Your commitment to self-development and continuous learning is hugely important in this role and we’ll provide you with all the training to help you develop.About the role (External)About the role & main responsibilities
- Produce diagrams, drawings, training packs, elearning and any other supporting media for training and assessment materials. Perform quality checks and formatting so that non-technical mistakes are addressed prior to publication.
- Maintain effective control of all training materials and supporting databases and systems, consistent with Network Rail Training and national standards and processes.
- Liaise and consult with Network Rail Learning Designers, Media Learning Development Specialists and Multi Media Development Managers as required to clarify product specifications and maintain adherence to quality and timescale requirements.
- Monitor compliance with Network Rail branding requirements and Network Rail Training house styles and templates. Maintain auditable records from draft to published materials, confirming that final versions are proofed and approved prior to issue.
- Establish, monitor and comply with document control processes and storage of soft and hard copy media.
- Produce and issue communications and updates on Training and Assessment materials to internal and external customers and stakeholders in accordance with document control requirements.
- Provide administration services as may be required in relation to Network Rail Training analysis, design, and development processes and systems.
- Follow our processes on the secure storage and meta-tagging of media content.
- Work as part of a team of media experts, to provide timely and accurate responses to media-related queries.
- Promote a friendly and engaging attitude within your team and department.
- Attend all in-person meetings and share your knowledge at media workshop events.
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement in your media creation abilities, effectiveness and efficiency.

What Are My Working Hours?
- This is a hybrid full time position (35hrs per week) Monday to Friday.
The ideal candidate:
- Demonstrable experience in designing, developing, and publishing effective training and development products, using a variety of authoring and/or design software packages, such as (but not limited to) Adobe Creative Suite and Articulate 360
- Excellent attention to detail and quality driven approach to working
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Able to take initiative, identify problems and propose solutions
- Ability to demonstrate personal accountability when striving for results, whilst consistently role-modelling core behaviours of collaboration and customer-centred decision making
- Ability to assess and challenge risky or unsafe actions, or poor behaviours of others
- Friendly and collaborative approach to working in a team
What could set you apart?
- Experience of copy editing and proof reading
- Relevant drawing/design qualification
- Document Control experience
- Creating engaging content demonstrable with a portfolio
- Previous experience in L&D, with wider understanding of the ADDIE development process
- Previous experience in a risk-averse large organisation
- Excellent ability to learn new media authoring software as needed
