Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Responsibilities:
1. Media Relations:
• Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
• Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other media materials.
• Coordinate media interviews, press conferences, and media coverage of organizational events.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare media reports and analysis.
2. External Communications:
• Develop and implement communication strategies to promote the organization’s mission, programs, and initiatives.
• Create compelling and engaging content for various communication channels, including website, social media, newsletters, and publications.
• Manage the organization’s social media presence and engage with online communities.
• Monitor social media trends and initiate social media campaigns to raise awareness and drive engagement.
3. Internal Communications:
• Develop and implement internal communication strategies to foster employee engagement, alignment, and information sharing.
• Coordinate internal communication channels, such as intranet, newsletters, and staff meetings.
• Draft internal announcements, memos, and updates for distribution to staff members.
• Facilitate communication between different departments and teams within the organization.
4. Brand Management:
• Ensure consistency in brand messaging, visual identity, and tone of voice across all communication materials.
• Develop and maintain brand guidelines and templates.
• Monitor and protect the organization’s brand reputation, responding to inquiries and addressing any brand-related issues.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
• Identify key stakeholders and develop targeted communication strategies to engage and build relationships with them.
• Develop communication materials tailored to specific stakeholder groups, such as donors, partners, and beneficiaries.
• Coordinate events and campaigns to engage stakeholders and promote organizational initiatives.
• Respond to inquiries and feedback from stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
• Proven experience in media relations, corporate communications, or public relations.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong knowledge of media landscape and trends.
• Proficiency in social media management and content creation.
• Familiarity with brand management principles and practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
