Medical Business Partner, UK & Ireland

This role is based in our Paddington, London office.

In this role you will analyse the cost-effectiveness of the various services we support, regularly present back to Patient Services Lead, Medical Director and Business Units as directed. Work with homecare providers and ensure we have a suite of KPIs which appropriately capture the performance of all Homecare services.

Attend meetings with Service Providers, when required, alongside internal stakeholders in-person or virtually to review the service performance and conduct account analysis.

Provision of comprehensive data analysis is an essential requirement of the Medical Business partner, including development and management of all the analytics work required to support the Patient Services pilots and projects.

Develop reports using various data sources to ascertain the value of the various services we operate which will be used to help redefine those services as required.

In line with commercial activities in place, oversee the maintenance of rebate data, financial data, and reporting. Work in collaboration with the Patient Services Administrator (Ariba & InvoiceTrack Super User) to ensure accuracy and on time payment to homecare providers.

A key part of this role will be to support the Service Development Team whose primary objective is to ensure more patients are being optimally managed for their ADHD by supporting to increase NHS service capacity.

To assess the impact of these initiatives, a key part of the Medical Business Partner Role will be to drive the development and enhancement of Reports/Dashboards (both in-house and in partnership with external partners) to monitor SDM project performance (e.g., patient uplift), guide SDM Strategy and enable Data-driven decision making.

Driving the development and improvement of the Analytics platforms/solutions, in close partnership with the SDM/medical team and with colleagues in Data & Insights

Key Accountabilities:

  • Data analysis of Patient Services innovative pilots. Prepare for, attend, and report on review meetings with Service Providers and ensure that the terms and conditions of the partnership agreement are being upheld.
  • Provide detailed information and reports as and when required. Carry out analysis and produce reports on a monthly, and as and when required, basis. In line with commercial activities in place, oversee the maintenance of rebate data, financial data and reporting.
  • Upkeep all service provider files and data. Deliver to business, objectives data for providers, as agreed with Line Manager.
  • Driving the development and enhancement of reports/dashboards (both in-house and in partnership with external partner) to monitor SDM project performance (e.g. patient uplift), guide SDM Strategy and enable data-driven decision making.
  • Driving the development and implementation of the analytics platforms/solutions, in close partnership with the SDM/medical team and with colleagues in Data & Insights.
  • Leveraging key internal and external data sets to inform prioritisation of opportunities by the SDM team.

Key knowledge and/ or experience needed:

  • Educated to “A level” or equivalent or higher.
  • Excellent communicator who is highly presentable with experience in successful liaison with Partners and Service Providers and knowledge of distribution channels.
  • Proven track record of maintaining and growing relationships, both internally and externally, and success in managing projects through to implementation.
  • Experience of project management and contract management.
  • Strong administrative organisation skills and able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to articulate complex information and data both verbally & in writing with internal and external personnel at various seniorities.
  • Understanding and knowledge of UK and Ireland market
  • An understanding of the industry ABPI code is desirable.
  • Strong analytical aptitude (numeracy or a quantitative focus demonstrated in educational or professional history).
  • Power BI experience desired, or alternatively a closely related reporting tool (e.g., Tableau or Qlik, advanced MS Excel).
  • Forecasting experience or market research experience is desirable.
  • Excellent understanding of pharmaceutical data (e.g., IQVIA, Wilmington, Cegedim, NHS data, in-market, and ex-factory sales data).
