RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Medical Education Managers with day-to-day operations
  • Support in the preparation and dissemination of information and communication materials, as well as the coordination of meeting schedules
  • Support the Medical Education team in executing Therapy Area-specific assignments to enhance educational strategies
  • Assist in the overall execution of educational programs and coordination of contracts, evaluations, attendance, and other needs associated with the programs
  • Support change management initiatives for Medical Education optimization while ensuring that all changes comply with policies & internal requirements
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support, enhance, and implement medical education strategies
  • Lead special assignments related to medical education with broad business impact
  • Champion improvements in processes and systems to create increased efficiencies and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Identify and enable operational efficiency between the Medical Education team and other cross-functional teams
  • Assist with the coordination of team meetings, including divisional leadership meetings

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidentiality is important – some of the projects within the remit of the department can be highly sensitive business initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Science or Business degree.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interface with external, internal and GSK
  • Innovative, solution-based thinker with the ability to simplify processes
  • Results oriented with proven ability to shift priorities at short notice and work to demanding deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work in a highly dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity, take initiative, lead projects
  • Demonstrates a focus on results, with a proven capacity to prioritize
  • Clear and concise, verbal, and written communication skills. Well-developed communication skills including listening, summarizing, probing, clarifying
  • Strong computer skills to work with various databases and MS Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Health Sciences or Business. Working towards an advanced degree in the sciences or business would be an asset.
  • Basic understanding of the medical education environment would be an asset
