Several of them serve as chief of gastroenterology at nearby hospitals, and a number of them have been recognized as top-quality physicians in publications, including but not limited to: Best Doctors in America and Top Doctors New Jersey, and US News Health – US News & World Report.We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Part-Time, Medical Receptionist with Dr. Jennifer Brown in Nutley, NJ.About the Role:The Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the the GI Services office by managing patient interactions and administrative tasks. This position is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and handling inquiries, which directly impacts patient satisfaction and the overall efficiency of healthcare services. The Medical Receptionist will also maintain accurate patient records and assist with billing processes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. By effectively coordinating communication between patients and healthcare providers, this role contributes to a positive patient experience and supports the delivery of high-quality care. Ultimately, the Medical Receptionist serves as a vital link in the healthcare system, facilitating seamless operations within the office and enhancing patient engagement.Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in medical office administration or a related field.
- Experience with medical billing and coding.
- Bilingual skills to assist a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of time and resources.
- Manage patient records, including updating information and ensuring accuracy.
- Handle phone calls and inquiries, providing information and directing calls as necessary.
- Assist with billing and insurance verification processes, ensuring compliance with regulations.
