To support in providing a comprehensive administrative service to the medical teams within the Trafford Directorate.The Medical Secretary will undertake general office duties including the typing of medical and other correspondence and actioning any requirements identified within the typing. They will take a lead on the allocation of discharge summaries and ensuring their timely completion. They will update and circulate the on-call rota as required. They will answer and manage calls from patients and their carers/ relatives, and other health/social care professionals. They will be responsible for supporting the Trust in achieving relevant performance targets.Main duties of the jobUndertake audio and clerical duties for your consultants, including minute taking as required, clinical letters, reports, discharge correspondence and clinical activity data inputting. This may include administrative support relating to consultant tutorial work.Liaise with General Practitioners regarding clinic and domiciliary visits.
