Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.As a member of the Brucejack family, we put your health, comfort, and safety first. The committee also plans holiday decorations, charity raffles, and outdoor events, helping create a warm and friendly community.PurposeTo support the delivery of the medical surveillance program at the Western Canada operations, site medical programs and promote worker wellness.This role will include supporting the management of any communicable disease and outbreaks. Working with a team based approach and be flexible and adaptable with healthcare needs and health surveillance across both sites as required.This is a temporary role that will provide coverage support to clinic(s) when baseline staff are required to leave site for transfers.Essential DutiesPerform the following duties with safety being the number one priority:
- Support the Communicable Disease plan
- Perform testing for communicable diseases when needed
- Support onsite medical surveillance programs (Silica, lead, mine rescue. etc.), completing Medical Surveillance testing as per the direction of Operations.
- Blood testing as required
- Conducting audiology, spirometry, fit testing
- Support site wellness initiatives including physiologic testing (glucose, cholesterol)
- Support the RTW for employee (recovery and rehabilitation), ensuring appropriate precautionary, modified, or alternative duties/work environment are established to mitigate the aggravation of injury and accommodate injured workers
- Support and facilitate the utilisation of services such as physiotherapy etc. for injury management
Training & ExperiencePosition requirements include but are not limited to:
- License Practical Nurse or Primary Care Paramedic preferred.
- Must have training and experience with Audiometry, Spirometry and Fit Testing.
- Valid class 5 BC Driver’s license
- Experience with EXCEL and data collection required
- Minimum 2-3 years experience at an industrial site
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to leverage technology and utilize relevant tools and systems to enhance work efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Working Conditions
- Work at remote location (camp) on a 14 days on/14 days off rotation
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical screening
- Be able maintain high levels of performance over 12 hour shifts
- Able to work in areas of extreme weather conditions
- Able to work in close quarters with the team or on one’s own

This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
