Mental Health Assistant – Bristol – ASAP StartDo you have experience supporting children with mental health challenges?Are you a psychology graduate looking for your first role in mental health?A welcoming school in Bristol is looking for a Mental Health Assistant to join their team ASAP. They are seeking a candidate with a background in Psychology or experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, or SEN. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will be an integral part of a supportive team, working closely with students and helping them thrive.The role involves supporting KS1 and KS2 pupils with SEMH needs, ASD and ADHD, alongside small groups with complex needs.Responsibilities include:
- Supporting children’s behaviour and learning in the classroom
- Assisting children with understanding the teacher’s instructions
- Working 1:1 with students or in small groups in the Learning Support department
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress
