HMP Stocken has just opened a new wing and is now has a capacity of 1285 males. The site offers:

Hours:This role is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday.Salary:This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £55,996 per annum – depending on experience.How will we support you?Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training courseCompetency frameworkRegional and national career development opportunitiesOur bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needsSupport from the wider teamCandidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checksMain duties of the jobAs a Mental Health Clinical Lead,your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Experienced clinical lead to provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams
  • Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required
  • Working closely with partners to maintain a robust, high quality clinical service for patients
  • Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role
  • Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
  • Coach, line manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site
  • Chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners, provide clinical supervision (training available) and carry our investigations locally and for the wider region.

  • RMN, Social Worker (Mental Health) or Occupational Therapist (Mental Health)
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
  • Existing line management experience and student nurse mentorship
