  • Provide physical and financial commodity risk management and financing solutions, daily market updates, and bespoke trade ideas to domestic and international corporations.
  • Price and execute derivative and physical transactions across commodities.
  • Develop prospective clients into active relationships, revive previously inactive client relationships, and maintain currently active client relationships by determining which products, strategies and solutions best meet client’s needs.
  • Provide comprehensive analysis to assist clients in optimizing their risk management strategies by customizing back tests, evaluating client portfolios, and analysing market volatility.
  • Create and market presentations on bespoke commodities risk management solutions.
  • Take action to reduce risk exposure in developing and delivering client strategies including matching buyers and sellers to optimize portfolios.
  • Collaborate with banking and other product areas to drive client strategy, connectivity, and enhance overall client relationship returns.
  • Partner with support teams to manage the client on-boarding process, including KYC, credit limit implementation, and negotiating of legal documentation.
  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
  • Drive and follow Financial Market themes, key initiatives, close alignment with the risk books, and optimize returns

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field of study.
  • Experience with: Bloomberg, and Reuters; Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with: owning and managing portfolio of clients; physical commodities markets including base, and precious metals; legal, compliance, and credit requirements for clients to execute trades; contract negotiations.

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience with: risk management strategies suitable for global clients across commodities value chain; marketing and pricing cross-commodity derivatives including but not limited to swaps, forwards, options, and physical metals
  • Conducting independent financial analysis to optimize corporate hedging strategies; key industry metrics and credit risk measures including ROE, RoRWA, and XVA
  • Macroeconomic events and data, and how they relate to commodities markets; ICE, and CME; creating, articulating, and presenting presentation materials to clients.
