Contract: Long Term/PermanentGSL Education London Branch are seeking a passionate and skilled Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to work at an Ofsted rated “Outstanding” school in Redbridge. The school is looking for someone who has experience teaching French and Spanish up to KS5. This full-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to shape the language learning journey of students while cultivating a love for French and Spanish.About the role:
The successful MFL Teacher (French & Spanish) will play a pivotal role in delivering a comprehensive and engaging curriculum across Key Stage 5. You will have the opportunity to inspire students, cultivating both linguistic proficiency and cultural awareness through innovative and dynamic teaching methods.Responsibilities of the MFL Teacher:

  • Design and deliver engaging French and Spanish lessons that align with the national curriculum and reflect the school’s ethos.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and a passion for language learning.
  • Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate improvement and help each student reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in the Modern Foreign Languages department to enhance the overall student learning experience.
  • Stay informed about the latest teaching strategies and advancements in French and Spanish education.

Requirements of the MFL Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in French, Spanish, or a related field.
  • Experience as an MFL teacher in a school setting.
  • Must be able to teach French and Spanish up to KS5.
  • Strong subject knowledge in one or more modern foreign languages.
  • Experience teaching languages at the secondary school level.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Proven ability to engage and motivate students in their language learning.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
