Find your future with us.Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Facilities Plant Architectural Engineer to support our Infrastructure Support & Services Program in Hazelwood, MO.This candidate will act as a program focal for several Customers internationally and domestically managing sell-off, delivery and sustainment of the facilities for new and existing facility construction/ modification to include ensuring the design and facility space can accommodate the installation of training devices, test and facility equipment as well as installation of training devices, test equipment and facility equipment on military installations. Focus will be on direct interface between customer, construction contractor, base representatives and local Public Works Department (PWD) authorities. This candidate will travel domestically & Internationally up to 25% for varying times from 1 week to 60 days.Position Responsibilities:

  • With limited supervision, develops moderately complex conceptual designs, final designs, cost estimates and provides maintenance support for:
  • Architectural phases, civil/structural phases of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds
  • Electrical and mechanical phases of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds to determine the cause of asset failures and reduction in asset capacity by using reliability tools and methods
  • Reviews and Translates customer requirements into conceptual design options with documents and estimates by analyzing intended use/occupancy and desired aesthetics, conducting code research, developing preliminary design elements, determining interdisciplinary engineering support requirements, estimating resource costs/requirements, identifying materials, equipment, and services, and developing initial project schedule in order to establish project scope in response to customer requirements
  • Communicates problems, issues, identifies errors and documents construction changes to comply with regulatory requirements, facility standards, codes, and ordinances.
  • Adheres to Government and Boeing record retention requirements
  • Integrates the activities of multiple engineering disciplines, outside consultants and government agencies; monitors project progress and vendor/consultant performance, and government/regulatory
  • Manages or supports construction projects by providing input on vendor selection; reviews contractor proposals; interfaces with
  • Manages project expenditures within authorized budgets.
  • Creates, maintains, and communicates project management information. Assists in the creation of contract scope. Ensures suppliers comply with all contract obligations
  • Prepares and presents project information to ensure compliance with applicable construction documents and jurisdictional requirements and objectives
  • Uses resources to produce project drawings, specifications, and permit application packages in accordance with project parameters
  • Identifies appropriate materials, equipment, and services by applying engineering principles and methodology
  • Provides input to strategic, short-term, and long-term infrastructure planning; completes studies; analyzes current conditions and future requirements; recommends capital improvements; gathers and analyzes data; and works with
  • Leads a team of stakeholders in the acquisition and modification of assets to enable the customer to achieve the defined business objectives in accordance with company and accounting policies

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering project planning or project management
  • Capable of traveling domestically or internationally
  • Capable of traveling 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance
  • Experience working on Aircraft Facilities
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architectural Engineering or related fields

Typical Education/ Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
