Our three-form entry multi-cultural academy is committed to raising standards and giving all our children the opportunity to develop as individuals.Website:About the roleThe role will involve supervising and assisting pupils during the lunchtime period.The roles will involve a range of duties depending on the needs of the school and pupils, including:
- working outside on the playground supervising the children during playtime
- working in the lunch hall supervising the children to ensure they eat their lunch in an orderly and reasonable manner
- 1-to-1 support for specific pupils with Special Education Needs to assist and supervise them in the hall and outside
- providing support in the kitchen with food serving and washing-up duties.
About youThe role requires the candidate to have:
- a strong sense of responsibility for children’s safety
- good listening skills and the ability to comfort children who are upset
- teamwork skills to work with other Supervisors, Teachers and Teaching Assistants
- the ability to maintain order and deal with bad behaviour, with a firm but fair approach
- an awareness of religious/cultural differences, and the needs of disabled children
