An opportunity has arisen to join Chesterfield Royal Hospital as a Midwifery Support Worker.The post holder will support and assist midwives in the delivery of holistic, high quality; evidence based antenatal and postnatal care to women and their families.The post holder will undertake unsupervised aspects of care and therapeutic intervention as delegated by the midwife, within agreed guidelines and sphere of responsibility.Main duties of the jobThis role provides support to Midwives ensuring that women receive high standards of maternity care throughout our service.You must possess excellent communication and team working qualities with a willingness to learn new skills, with full training and support provided, and also have the ability to work under your own initiative and as part of the multi-professional team.The post holder will be required to work a shift pattern that covers weekends and Bank holidays.About usChesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a well performing Foundation Trust serving a population of around 441,000 across the Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, North Amber Valley, High Peak and North East Derbyshire districts.
