Post Title: Migration Officer (2 posts)

Basis: Fixed term for 2 years

Hours: 37 per week

Salary: From £29,269 up to £32,076 per annum

We have two new Migration Officer roles recently developed to support the Homeless and Housing Options Service with the pressures of asylum and immigration/migration. These vacancies will sit within our Asylum and Immigration Service. If you have a clear understanding of migration and the current pressure in which we face and you have passion to support these customers with positive outcomes for resettlement, then this will be the perfect opportunity.

The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated, have a clear awareness and an interest in all asylum and immigration and have experience of delivering robust wrap around support to customers in previous roles. We are a very busy service, in which we are faced with changing government legislations and expectations, so flexibility and working under pressure is key for this role.

This role requires someone who has:

  • Experience of support planning and delivery.
  • Experience within a housing support environment or similar.
  • Highly motivated be able to adapt to both customers and service needs.
  • Ability to work flexibly and place the customer at the centre of service delivery with full commitment to deliver services well.
  • Understanding of asylum and immigration.
  • Resilience.

Normal hours of work are 37 per week. You may be required to work evenings and weekends to suit service needs.

The full time salary for this role is from £29,269 up to £32,076 per annum.
