The committee also plans holiday decorations, charity raffles, and outdoor events, helping create a warm and friendly community.PurposeOur Brucejack operation is looking for a Mill Maintenance planner to join our team with a competitive salary range of 105,000-130,000, based on skills and experience. The position’s primary report is to the Reliability & Planning Superintendent or designate. This position requires daily interaction with the superintendents & supervisors from the Mill & Supply Chain & Logistics Department.The incumbent will play a key role in providing organization and craft efficiency to the department through use of SAP. Detailed planning and scheduling techniques have been proven to reduce operating cost and improving safety performance by maximizing the maintenance effort & minimizing the impact of downtime. Provide visible leadership and adherence to all Newmont safety & environmental standards. Incorporate site safety & environmental standards into each individual job plan to mitigate risk & hazards in the workplace.Essential Duties
- Perform the following duties with safety being the number one priority:
- Participate in the development of the maintenance system using SAP to achieve best practices .
- Prepare & develop all Maintenance Standard Tasks (MST) & Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support excellent maintenance execution.
- Ensure the maintenance system is ready to support issue work orders, PM scheduling, workload tracking as well as spare part availability prior to execution.
- Perform initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope, and analysis of required level of planning.
- Estimate required hours on work order tasks & total work order duration.
- Plans jobs with appropriate level of detail for the given skilled trades workforce.
- Procures equipment & specialized tool &equipment lists to perform work.
- Gathers necessary engineering or technical documents, specifications and drawings.
- Plans & kits parts for all projects to increase proactive maintenance & maximize efficiency.
- Compiles information into a Job Package that is ready for skilled trades – clearly communicates with Maintenance Team supervisors regarding critical steps in the process.
- Assist operations and maintenance to prioritize upcoming work.
- Identifies specific safety hazards that will be encountered, and support the implementation of controls to ensure all work can be performed safely.
- Support the enhancement and communication of standards, policies and procedures . Ensures that all aspects of the existing company safety policy are incorporated into the job plan.
- Upon completion of job, utilizes feedback from skilled trades regarding ideas & procedures that would make future jobs more efficient.
- Contribute to asset risk management and condition monitoring, proactive troubleshooting, and repair-replace decisions.
- Maintains equipment information & repair files.
- Writes clear & concise work procedures
Training & ExperiencePosition requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Recognized red seal trade, or applicable diploma or degree
- Proven experience in maintenance planning
- Possess a strong practical aptitude and understanding of infrastructure and fixed-plant assets
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) or similar designations and training is preferred.
Skills
- Candidates must display understanding of work management processes, maintenance best practices, technologies and applications.
- Strong computer navigation skills mandatory. Proficient in usage SAP and Microsoft Applications
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
