Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.As a member of the Brucejack family, we put your health, comfort, and safety first. The committee also plans holiday decorations, charity raffles, and outdoor events, helping create a warm and friendly community.About the Role:Your ImpactAs an Underground Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible day to day operations of the underground mine at the Brucejack Mine Site.Through guidance and consultation with the Mine Superintendents this position ensures all Underground/Site Activities adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental regulations as well as all company standards/policies and procedures.As Part of Our Team, You WillLead by example to foster a strong safety culture and compliance with policies and regulationsProvide oversight and daily reporting on underground mining contractor performanceAssist in planning and managing contractor activities to maximize operational valueMonitor contractor performance in mine maintenance and cost-plus activitiesRespond to underground issues requiring immediate attentionConduct monthly safety compliance and performance evaluationsProvide expertise on underground mining methods, technologies, and ground supportAssist in the planning and execution of the underground mine plan, ensuring contractor compliance with company prioritiesAttend and participate in daily short interval control meetings, providing insights into delays and scheduling impactsLead the management of incidents, ensuring thorough investigations, data collection, and corrective action implementationPrerequisites for Your Success in This Role
- Unwavering commitment to safety and environmental values
- Minimum 10 years of mining industry experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role
- Possess a BC Underground Shift Boss Ticket
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Possess a valid First Aid Certificate
- Proven ability to manage contractors in both technical and operational settings
- Strong leadership skills with a team-building mentality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Rotational schedule: 13 days on / 13 days off

We are now recruiting for the position of Mine Supervisor with a competitive annual base salary of $103,275-137,700 plus incentives. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity.
