Expected work schedule for the Philadelphia Ministry Leader:

We offer flexible full or part time schedules. Overtime or weekends may be required for specific events as well as attendance at the annual IFI retreat.

Pay structure for a Philadelphia Ministry Leader:

IFI provides training in order to equip Philadelphia Ministry Leaders in personal fundraising. The Philadelphia Ministry Leader will develop a team of partners to cover financial needs such as salary, benefits, ministry expenses, and pray for their ministry. A Philadelphia Ministry Leader can expect a salary of $24,960-$72,800 based on experience and other factors.

About the Area and Responsibilities of a Philadelphia Ministry Leader

Philadelphia is a very important city in the United States and served as the first capital and where the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776. Not only is it the home of the Liberty Bell, Constitution Hall and the “Rocky Steps”, it is also full of world class universities, such as the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel and Temple. There are more than 15,000 international students in the Philadelphia area, which makes it a very strategic location for international student ministry. This position is part of the Philadelphia ministry team and requires the candidate to live near the campus on which they will be serving.

The Philadelphia Ministry Leader will establish a ministry location by building relationships with university staff, church partners, and volunteers. The Philadelphia Ministry Leader will engage in personal ministry as well as mobilize others to host Bible studies, plan cultural events, and share the Gospel. It is vital that the Philadelphia Ministry Leader establish IFI as a recognized student org, maintain good relationships with the campus, and maintain financial and prayer support for the budgeted needs of the role.

Qualifications Needed from the Philadelphia Ministry Leader, including Spiritual Characteristics

The Philadelphia Ministry Leader must adhere to IFI’s statement of faith, core values, and policies. The Philadelphia Ministry Leader must be a person of character who faithfully extends God’s love globally by mobilizing Christians to effectively communicate the Gospel in the context of various cultures.

Education/Experience for a Philadelphia Ministry Leader

  • Demonstrated ministry, training and mobilization experience required
  • Experience in cross-cultural ministry, preferred
  • College degree preferred
