Position: Model United Nations Advisor

Two Rivers High School and Heritage Middle School is searching for a Model United Nations advisors to support a high-performing program, while upholding the values of our school community. The advisor will lead with enthusiasm, energy, and will always act in the best interests of our student club members.

Location: Two Rivers High School and Heritage Middle School

Dates: 2023-2024 School Year ; January through April 2024

Job Summary: Partner with the district 197 Delegation Director to recruit, supervise, and manage the high school Model United Nations (extracurricular) program.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with Delegation Director and advisors at Heritage Middle School and Friendly Hills Middle School in recruitment efforts;

• Attend one information/registration meeting at the high school in January or February;

• Communicate with ISD 197 Delegation Director and forward emails as needed (e.g. responding to questions from students and parents);

• Host 4-6 work sessions leading up to the conference, supporting students’ research and helping ensure timely submission of students’ pre-conference materials.

• Attend 1-2 pre-conference delegation meeting(s) at Two Rivers prior to the conference;

• Supervise student delegates at the 3-day MUN conference (April 4th-6th, 2024);

• Attend all required events and delegation meetings at the conference.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Prior experience working with youth;
• Willingness to help students problem solve during research and collaborative contexts.
