An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Community Complex Conditions service as a Multi Professional Rehab Assistant. We have offices based across North Wales in the East, Centre and West.The post holder will work independently under the direction of the Qualified Therapists but in an unsupervised capacity (Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist/Speech and Language Therapist/Dietician) carrying out delegated intervention plans and will contribute to the planning and evaluation of the intervention plan.The post holder will provide timely and accurate written and verbal feedback of all interventions for review by the delegating Therapists to support the delivery and review of the overall intervention plan (s) in line with each Therapy professional codes of practice and according to health board guidelines.The post holder will plan, provide and observe outcomes for individual and group interventions which support the ongoing assessment and treatment of service user/patients around their Occupational Functioning in the areas of self-care, productivity and leisure within thedepartment, in the service user/patients’ home or in community settings.Main duties of the jobTo deliver routine therapeutic treatment programmes independently and progress treatments within guidelines and protocols.   • Quality Credit Framework qualification at level 3 e.g. NVQ or OCN related to Health & Social Care or equivalent level of knowledge.
  • Documented evidence of participation in training activities
  • Proven experience of working in relevant clinical specialty at diploma equivalent level of knowledge
  • Good general education especially in literacy and numeracy to at least GCSE grade C in English language or equivalent

Desirable

  • Membership of professional body and/or special interest group
  • Level 4 qualification in relevant clinical field.

Experience / KnowledgeEssential

  • Relevant experience of working within a Therapy environment.
  • Able to demonstrate promotion of independence and its effect on health and well being
  • Understanding of the role of the Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist/Speech and Language Therapist/Dietitian.
  • In depth understanding of the concept of rehabilitation/recovery within the clinical area
  • Basic knowledge of the principles of Clinical Governance
  • Basic knowledge of main conditions relevant to area of speciality and the effects of illness on function.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety legislation & practices.
  • Proven ability to apply knowledge following training
  • Self-motivation for Continued Professional Development
