Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?RBCx pursues big, bold ideas and leverages RBC’s extensive experience, networks, and capital to help shape what’s next. Our four pillars – Banking, Capital, Platform, and Ventures – combine to support tech businesses of all sizes and stages, making us the go-to backer of Canadian innovation. Our people are our most valuable assets, which is why we invest deeply in making sure RBCx isn’t just a place to work, but a place to belong. We’re currently looking for ambitious trailblazers and curious minds who want to help grow the next generation of Canadian tech companies. If that’s you, we can’t wait to connect. What will you do?
- Be the hub for connecting clients with the right people, information and processes
- Respond quickly and accurately to client requests by phone and email, following up with superior client service
- Provide financial solutions, strategic advice and initiate introductions to internal and external partners to help our clients
- Apply a continuous improvement approach to delivering client service, seeking efficiencies
- Create meaningful touchpoints and interactions with clients and prospective clients, ensuring their needs are always prioritized – whether they’re a startup, scale up, entrepreneur or venture capitalist.
What do you need to succeed?Must-have:

- Excitement for trying new things: RBCx is building an end-to-end platform complete with capital and non-capital solutions to help our clients thrive. We will forever be building, launching new products, and expanding our capabilities, and being able to embrace a constant state of improvement and innovation will be paramount.
- Technical capability: you are comfortable with RBC internal systems, navigating phone systems, email queues, client request and service systems to get the job done
- High level of empathy for the founders and startups we work with, and for the ever-changing unknown: a tech company needs can change often – and we need you to be comfortable with throwing plans out the window and going back to the drawing board when needed.
- Some banking or financial experience: ideally 1-2 years in commercial or business banking, or at a VC fund / tech ecosystem partner, or in a similar service role for business or commercial clients
- Client-first service-mindedness to ensure clients are well looked after and that their RBCx experience is remarkable
- Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking needs.

- You may have academic exposure through a post-secondary diploma/degree in commerce or business administration, or related degree and/or related experience.
- This isn’t your first time in a client service, advice centre and/or client relationship management role.
What’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.
