The area and division are committed to assisting our members to achieve a balanced lifestyle.The specialist will join our team of Neurologists. They will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team providing a wide scope of neurology services for the growing population of Regina and southern Saskatchewan.Our Neurologists have admitting and consulting privileges and provide service at our two acute care sites (Regina General Hospital and Pasqua Hospital). The Pasqua Hospital, a community-based hospital and referral center, specializes in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, General Surgery and Urology. The Regina General Hospital, our trauma center represents all major surgical specialties, except transplant and is home to our Clinical Teaching Unit.Call coverage is a requirement for the position. In addition to fee-for-service, you would be eligible for any on-call stipend consistent with the Specialist Emergency Coverage Program.The is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the growing educational needs of medical students and residents from the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. The University of Saskatchewan is a research-intensive institution with 22,000 students and 7,000 faculty and staff, and a strong reputation for innovation and excellence. The College of Medicine has an intake of 100 students per year with a commensurate number of positions for residency training. The Department of Medicine has distributed training sites in Saskatoon and Regina.The (SHA) is the largest organization in Saskatchewan, employing over 44,000 employees and physicians responsible for the delivery of high quality and timely health care for the entire province. Candidates with subspecialty focus on movement disorders will be given priority. Candidates should be eligible for regular licensure through theThis individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.The successful applicant is expected to participate in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Medicine in the Regina Area and will be appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; in accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA.
