There are opportunities to develop skills in the assessment and treatment of a range of mental health presentations such as eating disorders, mood and psychotic disorders as well as neurodevelopmental disorders. There are excellent opportunities for further career development through our nursing clinical career pathways.Post holders who are new to CAMHS will have the opportunity to undertake the NES New to CAMHS training over a 12 month period. NHS Lothian CAMHS has its own training budget and regularly organises internal and external training events for CAMHS clinicians.Our home is in Edinburgh, one of the best cities to live in the UK. A vibrant city of festivals and culture, sport and history, breath taking historic landmarks with glorious countryside and sailing at Port Edgar just 30mins from the City Centre. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
