Borehamwood, Hertfordshire Looking for an exciting teaching role in Early Years?

A fantastic two-form entry Primary School in Borehamwood is seeking a Nursery Teacher for year-long maternity cover, starting after the February half term. The daily rate ranges from £161 to £246, and the position offers opportunities for long-term or permanent placement.

Responsibilities: As the Nursery Teacher, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of young learners. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons in the Nursery.
  • Creating a stimulating and safe learning environment that fosters exploration and curiosity.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to design and implement an exciting and creative curriculum.
  • Assessing and monitoring the progress of each child, providing tailored support and interventions as needed.
  • Building strong relationships with parents and guardians, regularly updating them on their child’s progress and offering guidance for supporting learning at home.

The ideal candidate for the Nursery Teacher position should possess:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a strong foundation in Early Years education.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and a deep understanding of child development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective engagement with children, colleagues, and parents.
  • Strong organisational abilities to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • The ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages a love for learning.
  • A collaborative nature and a willingness to work closely with colleagues to provide an outstanding educational experience for students.
