An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our well established nursing team on the Acute Coronary Care Unit.Main duties of the jobACCU is a 10 bedded acute unit looking after a range of patients with complex cardiac conditions.As a Nursing Assistant, you will be a key member of our nursing team providing support with our registered nurses to patients and families. You will be able to work on own initiative, following direction by Registered Nurse.You will need to have:Excellent communication skills – in particular listening skillsA friendly, open, empathetic and compassionate communication styleA strong ability to engage with patients, visitors and colleaguesThe ability to work well in a teamIn return we will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will be appraised on a yearly basis with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate. - Holds National Care Certificate or be willing to undertake and complete within 12 weeks of starting.
- Level 2 Apprenticeship in health care OR Gain equivalent knowledge and skill undertaking the Trust Clinical Support Worker Development Programme.
- On completion of the Trust Clinical Support Worker Development Programme demonstrating evidence of clinical knowledge, skill and competency the worker will move to band 3 AfC.
- Holds Functional Skills Level 1 Maths and English or education equivalent.
