However, we understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.What you’ll be doing:

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT), contributing occupational therapy expertise to ensure we deliver outstanding assessment, care planning and support for the young people in our care.
  • Assess, plan, and implement person-centred therapeutic interventions.
  • Empower individuals over the age of 18 to achieve recovery and independence, including those admitted informally or detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007).
  • Provide care for individuals requiring detoxification from alcohol or drugs or those under a revoked Community Treatment Order (CTO).
  • Contribute to the effective running of MDTs by performing key functions, such as liaising with families, CPAs, minute-taking etc.
  • Assist with the training of care staff and others in the principles of occupational therapy, so that an understanding of occupational therapy underpins the work of the care teams.
  • Keep records as required and contribute to the provision of high-quality management information across the hospital.
  • Keep people safe from any harm and protect their human rights.
