Job Description

The Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC, located in Roanoke, VA is seeking a full time Office Assistant/Receptionist. The responsibility of this role is to provide reception support to the Executive Director and Administrative offices by greeting visitors, answering phones, scheduling meeting, filing, maintaining orderly office supplies, and distributing mail. This position will ensure adequate coverage of reception areas. This position will also provide backup support to other administrative staff as needed for vacations and other leave usages. This position requires someone with a commitment to customer service, attention to details, time management skills, and experience working in a team environment.

Required Qualifications

Professional office experience an academic, medical, or business environment.
Demonstrated experience with computer software such as Microsoft and Google applications.
Demonstrated experience in working with confidential information.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and seamlessly with team members.
Ability to work independently.
Experience with customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree in business administration or other related field or equivalent applicable experience.
