This person will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of our regional offices and delivering successful employee and community events in line with our people engagement and DEIB strategy.This role is a hybrid opportunity. While we are a remote-first company, you must visit WeWork locations and, eventually, collaboration space in Toronto to support our teams and coordinate our social endeavours.Due to the many regions and time zones we support, this candidate may be expected to work outside or regular 9 am to 5 pm business hours.Out of Province or Country Travel may be required once per quarter to support events.What You’ll be Doing

  • As the virtual and in-person office manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all headcount locations of our company. Your primary focus will be to ensure that our regional locations are well-maintained and fully equipped to provide a conducive working environment.
  • In addition, you will manage relationships with vendors and coordinate with the People Engagement Partner to ensure smooth communication and collaboration across all
  • Support our ELT with the openings and pilot of our collaborative spaces.
  • One of your main responsibilities is to plan and manage employee and community events, both short-and long-term. You will develop and recommend budgets and objectives and execute those approved plans.
  • Your role will include assembling creative and innovative event attractions, leveraging our internal capabilities or outsourcing to qualified vendors. You will work with our internal teams on all company events, whether virtual or in-person, plan and manage all community events in our top-represented regions, and ensure that everyone in our organization can participate in virtual social options.
  • You will manage and assign all our internal customized swag options and travel to our North American regions to organize in-person events. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing all of our employee gifting via our third-party vendor.
  • Come up with new ideas and a clear strategy for fostering a sense of equity across the company regarding socializing and in-year recognition/kudos.
  • Ad-hoc projects as assigned by members of the People, Operations or Executive team

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • At least 2 years of experience in Office Manager/Operations or Events
  • Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, including socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic groups.
  • Has a service-oriented approach, professional solid presentation skills, high energy, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excels in organizational, interpersonal, and administrative tasks.
