Late applications may not be accepted.Next Steps: Interviews will be held W/C 10th Feb 2025, depending on business requirements.Brief DescriptionWho are we looking for?For an individual who can effectively manage a team of Operational Planners and Specialists in order to successfully deliver required timetable changes in line with customer and industry expectations, and contractual obligationsAbout the role (External)What does the average day look like?Day to day, you will be managing the performance of your team, ensuring that one-to-ones, team meetings, development plans and honest feedback are delivered frequently, and workload is prioritised and delegated appropriately.You will understand your teams’ strengths, which will support you in managing the successful delivery of the timetabling requirements and balancing priorities. You will have a good understanding of relevant sections of our Network Code to ensure that your decisions are compliant with the required processes.You will also be responsible for driving a culture of safety within the team. You will role-model this both in terms of the decisions you make that will impact the quality of the timetable, and in terms of actions taken to understand and improve the health and well-being of the team.In addition to the above, you will be encouraging the team to create Continuous Improvement initiatives, as well as being involved in department wide Strategic Objectives to make department wide improvements.Person Specification / Essential Criteria· Experience in successful delivery of multiple projects· Proven ability of building team capability through development and implementation of project disciplines· Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing teams· Proven successful experience in complex timetabling and demand prioritisation· Proven ability to engage, influence and build collaborative relationships with customers; and stakeholders at all levelsHow to apply (External)
