We offer a complete benefits package and opportunities for your continued growth and development!Summary:The Operations Analyst has the authority and is fully accountable for the successful execution of the responsibilities listed in this position description in accordance with CRH Canada’s policies and procedures and as limited by the General Manager. The Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting day to day activities related to production analyst support, health & safety, SAP support, and more.What you’ll be contributing:

  • Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
  • Production Analyst Support
  • Daily, weekly, monthly reports of Production, Performance, KPIs.
  • Support management of Inventory for commodities and production items
  • Coordinating with automation engineer to correct TIS-MTS-GTS reporting
  • Coordinating with controller for inventory audits
  • Monthly Inventory reconciliation for: finished products, raw materials, fuels, and other materials associated with production
  • Extract and Analyze technical SAP & BW reports on timely basis as required.
  • Monitor P2P key indicators (requisitions, invoices, POs, GR/IR) and resolve outstanding issues
  • Support Net Working Capital program
  • Generate process order in SAP
  • Coordinate the Continuous Improvement and Innovation System (Idea Bank)
  • SAP Support
  • Use SAP to create purchase requisitions, service entries, and goods receipts for maintenance, HR and Purchasing departments.
  • Within controlled documentation system, responsible for all maintenance procedures and index, variance sheets, maintenance actions log, waste manifests and other plant documentation
  • Health and Safety
  • Work with Managers to develop performance indicators to continually improve the analytical support
  • Promote commitment to the organization’s vision & values
  • Other
  • Become the local Tableau ‘expert’
  • Internal Auditor for ISO Management Systems
  • Responsible for the Crisis Management Program Binder/Document
  • Member of the Crisis Management Team
  • Member of Inclusion and Diversity Committee
  • Corporate Social Responsibility Committee
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
  • Post-Secondary education – Engineering preferred
  • Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably the cement, steel, paper industry.
  • Experience in procurement, manufacturing and supply chain is a plus.
  • Understand the cement manufacturing process and the cost center boundaries and structure is preferred;
  • SAP experience;
  • Intermediate to advanced MS-Excel knowledge
  • Accounting acumen.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical ability, planning, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • An excellent “think the business” role – development of business and financial acumen, strategic vision and analysis/problem-solving.
  • Team oriented with a sense of optimism, ownership, and commitment.
  • Draws accurate conclusions from quantitative information.
  • Breaks down problems into manageable components to gain a better understanding of the issues.
