This Project Appointment offers a one-year contract with the potential for extension.Key Details:

Role Overview:

  • Under the supervision of the Senior Finance and Administrative Assistant, the Operations Assistant will undertake a variety of administrative, financial, HR, and logistics duties. Key responsibilities include providing administrative support, managing office operations, assisting with procurement and travel arrangements, and ensuring asset verification.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of secondary school education
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in administration, finance, or related fields
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of accounting principles, excellent IT skills, strong organizational and communication skills
  • Languages: Fluency in French and English

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma in social sciences, accounting, or finance
  • Experience: Relevant experience within a large international organization or the public sector
  • Skills: Familiarity with ERP systems, UNESCO rules, and Canadian tax regulations

Benefits and Entitlements:

  • UNESCO offers competitive salaries and benefits, including 30 days annual leave, family allowance, medical insurance, and pension plan. The approximate annual starting salary for this post is 45,127 CAD.
