We are Systematix and we are looking for a Programmer/Software Developer, Level 3 (PowerBuilder) for an upcoming opportunity with a Federal Government department. The ideal candidate must already possess a security clearance at the Secret level (Level II) or higher.About the ProjectThe objective is to obtain resources to provide application development (new development and approved enhancements), maintenance (resolution of defects) and support services for the client’s PowerBuilder components and some JAVA components of the Agencies legacy granting systems.About the Responsibilities

• Providing application development (new development and approved enhancements), maintenance (resolution of defects) and support services for the Agencies legacy core granting systems.
• Reviewing documented business requirements, change requests and/or defect logs.
• Consulting and coordinating with other internal groups as necessary to deliver on assigned tasks and associated commitments.
• Preparing technical document, commenting updates in source code.
• Participating in code reviews.
• Participating in team meetings and knowledge sharing sessions.
• Providing knowledge transfer to team members regarding the use; installation; customization; evaluation; and troubleshooting of the legacy granting applications.
• Technical documentation shall be in the following electronic formats, as applicable: MS Word; MS Excel; MS PowerPoint; MS Visio; MS Team Foundation Server (TFS) / DevOps; Other applicable development tools and technologies for prototypes; and as required, MS Project may be used to supplement the deliverable.

About the Qualifications

• Must have more than 36 months of experience developing with PowerBuilder, in the last five years.
• Minimum of 13 years of experience developing with PowerBuilder.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working on projects providing professional services for the integration of multiple systems using industry standards and technologies.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working on projects with a cited Federal/Provincial government client.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in working on projects developing/architecting client server applications/services.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in working on projects developing with Sybase EA Server.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing with a database.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working on projects developing using a source control system for managing code changes.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with a software development framework. (Ex. PowerBuilder PFC or Java JSF)
• Experience working on at least one (1) project, within the last 5 years for a minimum of one (1) year, as a Programmer/Software Developer using PowerBuilder v12.x or greater.
• Must hold a university degree or college diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to Information Technology (IT) OR have fifteen (15) years of work experience as a software developer.
