Job descriptionOutdoor Teaching Assistant – SalisburyAbout the School and the Job:Prospero Teaching are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated SEN School based in Salisbury, to help support pupils with SEMH & Behavioural Needs. This is a great opportunity, to help enrich and develop vulnerable young people’s lives.You will be working with an excellent team and joining a fantastic newly built provision where you can make a difference, playing a key role in the development of students.The successful candidate will be working with pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education and with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) The school offers a great range of outdoor activities through the Duke Of Edinburgh’s Award scheme.Contract Details for Outdoor Teaching Assistant:

  • Location – Salisbury, Wiltshire
  • Position – Outdoor Teaching Assistant
  • Type of work – Outdoor Teaching Assistant
  • Start date – ASAP
  • Contract type – Temp/Perm
  • Full time/part time – Full-Time
  • Minimum rate of pay – Paid to Scale

Experience, Training and Qualifications needed for Outdoor Teaching Assistant role:

  • Previous Teaching experience is required, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
  • Previous experience working with challenging behaviour would be advantageous
  • A passion for working with children with SEMH.
  • Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities
  • You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
  • Level 3 Qualifications

To be eligible to work as Outdoor Teaching Assistant through Prospero Teaching you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
